User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Excellent package for Instinct
Excellent package. When I received this everything worked great, fit properly. Im glad I made this purchase and would make search for any more accessories for my next phone

3 Stars Accessories Bundle
Everything was included in the package as stated. Unfortunately the car charger stop working after one week, I did not use the antenna, and the case, the wall charger is still working. For the price I did not expect much.

4 Stars Good Value for Money
The only draw back that I have seen with this bundle is that the cover makes it a little more difficult to use the touch screen on the phone, but it does protect the phone very well.

5 Stars GREAT SET

Jabra SP700 Bluetooth Car Kit Speakerphone with FM Transmitter

Jabra offers the latest in speakerphone technology – the SP700. With the SP700 you can play Bluetooth music and calls on your car stereo with no installation needed. SP700 offers the same high quality sound as expensive built-in solution without any wiring or installation necessary.

Jabra SP700 offers a new level of usability and safety for Bluetooth speaker phones. With the SP700, youll receive spoken information so theres no need to take your eyes off the road while you drive. Automatic pairing makes getting started simple. The SP700 features advanced noise reduction and echo cancellation that insures excellent sound quality on both sides of the call.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Excellent speaker phone
Pros:

1. Easy to pair

2. Very long lasting battery: went all week without charging

3. Allows voice dialing if your phone supports that feature: press the unit until it beeps (about 2 seconds), the phone goes into listen-for-command voice dial mode; speak into SP700 the name you want to call as it appears in your phone’s list (i.e., “Home”); the phone makes the call (I’m using a Nokia 6555–not all phones have the voice dialing function)

4. Compact

5. Easy to charge via its USB port

6. Clear communication: both parties hear clearly (this is, after all, the main goal) with virtually no background interference

7. Announces its state: electronic voice says, “Connected,” “Power off,” “Incoming call from xxx-xxx-xxxx,” “Call ended”

8. Automatically turns itself off 10 minutes after phone is out of range (30 feet

9. Can play music or podcasts through it if you want–assuming you have a decent player on the phone; many don’t

10. Portable: it would work as a desktop speaker phone if you want and easily moves from vehicle to vehicle.

Cons:

1. Can only pair with one phone at a time–if you have a personal and a work phone it’s one or the other

2. Can be too loud–it defaults to a very loud initial volume (perfect if you have earphones jammed in your ears–you can still hear everything); it’s almost painfully loud

3. You have to turn it on when you get in the car. It would be nice if it sensed the phone and turned itself on.

4. FM transmission to 88.1 or the other freqs is difficult in Los Angeles. The spectrum is so full it’s almost impossible to find a clear open channel. This is hardly necessary because the built in speaker is so effective. If you really want to use your car stereo it probably can be fiddled with until it works, but why bother?

5. The control buttons are poorly marked

Bottom line: it really works for both ends of the call, it’s not expensive, it’s portable, battery life is very long.

5 Stars Never fumble for the phone again.
My brother gave me a Jabra for Christmas. My phone was so old, it did not have Bluetooth technology and I went out to get a new phone just so I could use it. Well, I’m glad I did. The only time I need to talk hands-free is in the car. This is perfect for that.

The Jabra is wonderful. It’s sleek and thin, doesn’t obstruct my vision when on the visor. It was quick and easy to set up and use. When calls come in, I only need to touch it to answer. No more fumbling for my phone. The sound is crisp and clear. I talk mostly to my husband on it and he says the sound is clear on his end. My kids talk to him from the back of the minivan and he can hear them, too. I much prefer it to the earpiece, which I had to worry about falling out of my ear and gave listeners on the other end an echo. It’s also preferable to the speakerphone function of the cellphone.

This is a wonderful gadget — one of those nice to have, makes my life easy sort of things. I’m glad I own it.

UPDATE: The battery life is remarkable. It’s been three months and I’ve only charged it once. Admittedly, I only turn it on to make or accept calls about once a week, but most rechargeable batteries discharge over time even without use. Still haven’t found any problems with this product. Two thumbs up.

4 Stars WORKS GREAT FOR ME
I’m not sure why anyone would buy this for other reason than handsfree cell phone use. For that function it is perfect for me.

My phone is a simple LG Env2. It synced up instantly and completely. I was using it in about 2 minutes out of the package. I didn’t charge it first as suggested, but I did right after!

The speaker and sound is clear and crisp, and with plenty of volume, which is adjustable. Whether I use the FM feature is in doubt. It works perfect the way it is.

This item would be 5 stars as far as I am concerned, but the instructions are so bad, for new users it would be difficult to set up

3 Stars Jabra SP700 bluetooth speaker/FM transmitter
The Jabra SP700 speakerphone/FM transmitter is very good when I am able to connect it properly with my iPhone 3G. I can play my itune music and podcast on my car FM radio and also have good cellphone functionality, however finding any repeatable methodology to obtain this level of connectivity continues to elude me. It often takes 10 to 15 minute to get a connection which makes the SP700 impracticable for my needs. The multifunction FM/Language selection and on/off buttons are quirky and often unresponsive to the various methods of input (ie Tap, press or press and hold) as described by the user manual.

Bottom line: The Jabra SP700 is great once it is connected but a few more dedicated function buttons would make this more user friendly.

3 Stars Good sound quality but some people hear their voice echo
I like the speakerphone. It works simply. It quickly connects to my cellphone. I can easily switch between FM transmitter and the base unit for hearing people. It automatically turns itself off if it can’t reach the phone for 10 minutes.

BUT some people hear their voice echo on it, despite “echo cancellation” that’s touted as a feature. This is very annoying to them but I don’t notice it. (I tried to contact Jabra about what to do but its contact form says that I’ve skipped a “required field” and so it won’t send my email, even though I’ve repeatedly filled out EVERY field. And “echo” does not appear in the search for technical support FAQs on its site, even though it’s a dropdown selection on the support contact form. And this problem is not covered in the online manual’s troubleshooting section.)

Anyway, I’ve found my voice is clear to others and I’ve found that others’ voices are clear to me. You get better sound on the FM transmitter than you do through the base unit, which can sound tinny, but both are good. So I’m happy in general. I prefer the speakerphone because I wear a bluetooth earpiece regularly as part of my day job and it’s nice to take it out while I’m driving — even though, LOL, the manual says to NEVER EVER use the device while driving.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Works great with my iPhone
Works as advertised. Speaker is clear, and others seem to hear me fine. Easy to turn off/on. Clip works great, and it’s easy to move speakerphone when I flip my visor down. Excellent choice for the price.

2 Stars Defective Produce and Extra Cost to Fix
I’ve used another Supertooth Light for a couple of years and liked it, which is why I bought this one.

However, I was sent a defective product (the microphone didn’t work)… and had to pay to ship it back to get it replaced by BlueAnt!!

Based on this experience I will never buy another piece of electronics gear from Amazon.

4 Stars I’m Pleased
Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase. Occasionally someone notices I’m on a speakerphone, and I do have one person that complains sometimes… but for the most part it just really works well.

5 Stars BlueAnt
BlueAnt was easy to install and the sound is very clear, great for hands free driving!BlueAnt Supertooth Light Bluetooth Speakerphone (Black)

4 Stars bluetooth
Easy to use, ok price. the mic doesnt want to pop out on its own sometimes
