5 Stars Great item
My wife had been using a BlueAnt hands-free in her car for over a year and loved it so when I was in the market for a headset I checked out BlueAnt first. This unit provides excellent quality sound and picks up your voice very well over background noise even at a busy airport gate.
3 Stars Not as Clear Sounding as I had hoped
This headset is often fine. However, there are times when I cannot hear the caller at all. It is still unclear if it is definitely the headset or my phone with the problems
5 Stars Best BT Headset EVER
This is bar none the best BT headset I’ve ever used. I’ve had some Motorola units which generally worked well enough and more importantly were bullet proof; one unit even spent the night in a puddle of rainwater without damage. I also, for a few weeks, had the first Jawbone, which worked great, but fit poorly and broke the first time my kid knocked it off my head.
This however, works great, fits great, and is smaller and lightweight. The voice control is effortless, though a user level with shorter confirmations would be nice.
I finally have a headset that fits and works! Now, let’s see if it can take living in the real world with my kids o_0
4 Stars Blueant V1 Better than Moto H15 and works with the BlackBerry Bold (9000)
I purchased the Blackberry Bold, and needed a hands free headset. When I was in the store I noticed that a lot (all of) of the at&t guys were wearing the Jaw Bone 2. I thought to purchased that headset, but my sales guy pointed me to the Moto H15. I was a little nervous about the Jaw Bone as one of my friends has one. He says when driving and turning his head, the Jaw Bone comes away from his face and people say it they can hear nearly nothing. He says as long as he keeps his head fairly straight it is one of the best sounding headsets. A lot of my calling will be from the car, I have an hour commute and that is a good time to catch up on a lot. Should have known. The H15 Motorola H15 Noise-Canceling Blue tooth Wireless Headsetcosts a lot, and has noise canceling technology, supposedly. It didn’t work. My guys at my office said it was so bad with the Bold that they could not hear me. I had torn up the package so returning it was not easy, I just left it. I used that device less than 10 times.
I spent the next 4 months talking on the speaker phone as the Bold has excellent sound, but with a few new customers I need a good Bluetooth headset. So I started looking again. On Cracyberry I saw the Blue Ant, BlueAnt V1 Voice-Controlled Blue tooth Headset (Silver) it seemed (as all of them) too good to be true. The Bold has a crappy voice control system, and the Blue Ant has its own.
I looked around and Amazon actually had the lowest price! So I ordered it and took apart the package very carefully. Now here is the first thing, these guys offer a two year warranty. That is very tight. I could talk to a support person as I had a question very quickly and didn’t have to give serial numbers and all of that jazz.
The package has every thing in it you would expect and more. I like the “little” stiff micro USB charge cable it comes with as the V1 is so small I like to know where it is. I read through the manuals, charge it up, and immediately was on the phone. Called the guys in the office and they could hear me fine. When I am driving my Office Manager says it sounds like “…a waterfall is behind you…” but my truck is not the quietest. However she says she can clearly understand me.
One thing that to note BlueAnt says you need to have “Blue Tooth standard Speed dialing…” Well I can’t find any specifications on that, however the Bold does work with their speed dialing. The BlueAnt supports BlueTooth v 2.1 and the Bold (AFAIK) supports BlueTooth v 2.0. However when assigning speed dialing numbers, you have to match up the letters with the numbers. So BlueAnt speed dial 1 on my Bold goes in the letter w, 2 goes in E, 3 goes in R and so forth. I let the guy know they should put that on the FAQ.
Any way, three days into it, very happy. I can dial with the “Call Work” “Call Speed Dial 8″ and such. As I am using the bold I can put in commas or pauses to get pass the auto attendant and extensions. I am a happy camper. One sad note, when I went outside today with a little wind, it could not understand “Dial Speed Dial Home.” Don’t know if I was saying it right, will try “Dial Home” when I am on my way home. I put my most common guy in Speed Dial 9, and you need to say “Dial Speed Dial 9″ to get it to dial. You can see my out of whack life work balance, I call the office way more than I call the house.
I use the hook and the nice ear foam. I can wear it all day, but I like the hook as I can “have it rest” outside of my ear, so I can hear normally when it is not in use. I don’t use the clip (nice idea, but not nice construction) that comes with it, so you can clip it to your shirt. That is very weak, and where am I going to clip it that I will not worry about it slipping off? Better to wear it, or put it IN a pocket.
Again, why didn’t I rate it 5 stars? Because some one thought it would be cute to have the thing talk to you in a masculine male voice. I know it should not matter, but I do not like having a male voice whisper in my ear all day. I wonder why 90% of the voices are some soothing female voice, is it just preferred, or is it what we are “use too?” Don’t know, but I dislike the masculine voice.
Also I think I should be able to turn off the LED once and have it stay off, have to do it every time you turn the device on (like after charging every night).
Simply put, best wireless handset I have ever purchased. Now how to get it to work on my computer game as a computer mic….
5 Stars Best Bluetooth headset ever!!
I admit that I don’t have many of these. My first was a motorola, and it was almost useless. Since then, I have tried several and was happy with none of them. Then a couple of days ago, I found this device on sale on daily deal on Amazon so I decided to try. It is nothing short of Amazing!!
One thing I learned, put it on and following spoken instructions when you pair it with your phone. Written instructions were not very accurate.
I made my first call with it (have not tried voice dial), and the sound quality is awesome. The other person didnot even know I was speaking through this headset. This is the most important thing, right? At least for me. Everything else is secondary, except for battery life. I will see how the battery goes.
Very impressive.

3 Stars Parrot Review
I do LOVE having hands free communication in my car. My only complaint at this point is that when you are talking with someone else that also has a hands free unit in their car, it is very difficult to hear each other.
5 Stars Let the Parrot Help You Talk!!
I had The Parrot CK3200 installed in my car 2 weeks ago and so far, so good! I have had no problems receiving or making calls. I have asked the people I have called, how I sound and everyone says it’s very clear. To be sure, I called my house phone and left a message on my answering machine and found that the call came through crystal clear.
The one thing that you should know is that if your cell carrier is Verizon, the pictures you might have on your cell phone, do not show up on The Parrot’s screen. I already knew that when I purchased this, so it did not come as a surprise to me, like it did to other reviewers.
All in all, I am impressed with this device. My cell phone information automatically synched with The Parrot, so I did not have to enter any information and I was instantly able to say “call home” and it would ask me if I said, “call home” and I said, “yes” and it called my home. There were a few times that I forgot to use the command, “call” and it had me repeat the command. My brother also has The Parrot and loves it. With new laws effective tomorrow, I am glad I purchased this and had it installed when I did. Two thumbs up!
5 Stars Parrot 3200LS
I love it! The Parrot connects automatically when you start the car. I have a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche with Onstar. Which makes things complicated, but there are kits to make things way easier for clueless people like myself. If you don’t want to mess with the wires have it installed by a Parrot dealer. If you have Onstar there are ways to get it done. Do a search for Quick Connect harness to make life easy.
4 Stars Pretty good.
I’d actually give it about a 3.75 star review, but will round up.
Installation is not simple to begin with and much more difficult in my car because the factory radio has an external amp. I had to use an install method of installing a relay, in which the procedure is not outlined in the manual. I also had a bad mic included in my kit, but Parrot immediately ground shipped a replacement.
To make installation easier, there are additional harness which can cost up to 150$ extra.
Pretty much my only annoyance with this kit is that anytime I touch my phone, it cuts out my stereo. So if I check a text message, have a low battery warning, scroll through the calendat, etc., it interrupts my stereo.
Overall, it’s a nice unit with a nice display; the phonebook auto-syncs with your phone; and the bluetooth auto connects when you get in the car.
5 Stars Parrot CK3200LS
Probably one of the best bluetooth car kits. I had it installed with Kenwood KDC-W5541U and it works perfect with my Nokia 6680 and HTC TyTN II (Kaiser). It gets the address book automatically (if your phone or PDA supports) and it is easy to call or be called. It is paired with the phone easier than a PC, and you do not have to pair everytime. Just turn on your bluetooth on the phone and go.
I advise to everyone who is planning to buy a bluetooth car kit.
