4 Stars Good audio, clumsy case
Good sound and noise cancellation and LOVE that the case also tops off the charge in the earpiece when it’s in the case. However, the case is too big for a pocket (unless mega baggy) and it would be great if there was something that would allow me to securely clip it to something like a belt or a bag strap or ????

5 Stars I think I’ve finally found a replacement for the Plantronics 510!
For as long as I’ve owned bluetooth enabled phones, I’ve owned and loved the Plantronics 510. I’ve tried a TON of different headsets, and all have paled in comparison to the 510. When I saw the 925 on sale (I’m talking 1/2 price here), I couldn’t pass it up.

PROS:

First off – it’s very high quality. Well built, no loose parts, no falling off earpieces. It has a CASE, and this case CHARGES the earpiece when not in use! The case holds one entire charge for the earpiece, so when you’re in the car and your headset dies (happens to me ALL the time), you can charge it up and use it in no time!

The sound quality is superb. I thought I’d never find anything as good as the 510, but this headset BEATS it! I literally did a side by side test with both of them. The other person thought that the 925 sounded MUCH clearer and more defined than the 510. Also, the wind is not nearly a factor as it is with the 510. You actually have a few weak gusts of wind while using it and still be able to be heard.

It has GREAT battery life – this can be in standby mode for several days without needing a charge. I can talk and talk and talk and feel like I hardly ever need to charge it.

Lastly – it’s LIGHT. MUCH lighter than the 510 – so light, in fact, that sometimes I forget that it’s in my ear!

CONS:

OK, so there are many pros with this earpiece. There are also a couple of cons. First – it’s really, really difficult to fit the earpiece into the charger case. You have to adjust it so that it’s perfect before trying to push it in. I fear that over time, the charger contact on the earpiece may wear out.

Second – the earpiece insert gels don’t really work all that great. Even though they include 3 different sizes, I couldn’t find any that fit my ear perfectly. Therefore, the earpiece doesn’t sit perfectly in my ear and forces me to turn up the volume (on my phone and earpiece) to the MAX. Still, sometimes, I have a hard time hearing the other person because it doesn’t sit as close in my ear canal as others (the 510).

Another con – comfort. It’s comfortable, but not as comfortable as the 510. After about an hour, my ear starts to hurt from the insert. No matter which size insert I pick, I have the same problem.

The last con – price. It’s come down in price (at the time of this review, it’s 72 dollars), but it’s still too expensive. For that price you could buy two 510s and still have money to spare.

That’s about all the cons I can possibly think of.

I’m a huge techie guy and love to try out all new technology. I’ve been fiercely dedicated to the Plantronics 510 over the years because I have yet to find anything that was better. In my opinion, the Plantronics 925 is better in almost every way than the 510.

5 Stars Excellent for the average user
Pros) Great fit – holds firmly in my ear without the need for an earhook. The cleverly designed gel earbud is quite comfortable. Battery life – I have using this bt for nearly a month and have only needed to recharge the actual headset once, and that was using the battery case. In other words, I have not needed to plug in the device for the entire month, which is great since I keep it in my car. Sound quality – speaker quality is good. When driving, the other side thinks I’m on a landline.

Cons) Max volume – could be higher. Hasn’t been an issue for me, but in an extremely noisy environment it could be an issue for some. Noise canceling – even with the stereo turned down in my car, people report being able to hear it.

Conclusion) Great bluetooth headset for regular use. Good build quality, excellent features, and you can’t beat the charging case. However, this is not an extreme noise-canceling unit like the Jawbone or Q7, so if you plan on using this while operating a jackhammer, you may want to consider something more “extreme.”

5 Stars Love the 925 Bluetooth
This bluetooth is very reliable and has great sound. I have only had one issue when it lost connection, but was able to sync up in no time. The quality of the plantronic 925 is very high and the comfort is good. I had to break in the larger ear piece because the medium kept falling out of my ear. If you want a good bluetooth for your iphone or any other phone this is the one.

3 Stars Less than expected
I had reason to purchase a new head set for my mobile phone and I liked the look of the new Discovery 925 Earpiece.

I was less than impressed!

The “ear buds” were uncomfortable and felt un-stable in my ear. I tried all three sizes and it appeared to be the “loop” design that wasn’t working. It was hard to align the mic with my mouth and it fell out often.

The “recharge” box is too big and bulky to keep in my pocket and I don’t like to “store the earpiece in my ear”. I want to keep it in my pocket and it seems vulnerable to pens and pencils in my shirt pocket. A coat pocket might work, but I seldom wear a jacket or coat.

The action of the button was clumsy! I can’t think of a better word. I felt like I had to push the earpiece into my ear to make a “switch” from off to on. Press too long or too hard and it skips through different stages of action. I missed several calls because I went from “hello” to “goodbye” quickly because of the action of the button.

All in all I was disappointed when my dog chewed up the Discovery 925, but it gave me a great excuse to re-order a Voyager 655 (which my dog had chewed up about 6 weeks earlier).

Good luck with your experience with your earpiece (and your dog).

3 Stars Great sound, 755p compatible, abysmal battery life
Sound quality (my end and their end):

I am very pleased with how well I can hear others, even with background noise around me. My dad mumbles, and I can hear him more clearly on this headset than others I’ve tried. However, the folks I talk to tell me that they can’t tell any difference between how I sound when I talk to them with this headset compared to my previous Jabra 5020 (which cost $30). I had to shell out $$$ for this item because my phone is nearly incompatible with bluetooth headsets, but if I didn’t have a Sprint Treo 755p (fellow 755p owners see below), I would have stuck with the Jabra 5020’s comparable sound (although my 5020 literally fell apart after 1 month).

If I make too much background noise on my end (crumpling newspaper, running water, shuffling papers, moving dishes etc), it’s painfully loud for folks on the other end. But that has been the case for my Jabra 5020, Motorola H700, Plantronics Voyager 510, Gennum NX6000 and even a wired Jabra. And they can turn their headsets down.

Comfort and fit:

I find this VERY comfortable. It’s made for user’s to nestle the ear bud in your ear. It comes with ear gels in 3 sizes, and the medium fits my medium-small ear well. It will NOT stay in my ear without the flexible ear loop. The ear loop is bendable and did not break when I bent it to fit my ear. It has held its shape. Now I can shake my head and the headset won’t budge.

Battery life:

The battery life is VERY poor and disappointing. I can only get a max of 60 minutes of talk time out of it. Even if I leave it turned on but don’t use it, the battery drains in less than a day. I would have expected more battery life for this much money. I’m thinking of returning it for that reason. Note: I left the headset plugged into the charger all night. When I went to bed, the light was blue (indicates full charge, but when I retrieved it this morning, the light was red (low charge). Go figure.

FOR TREO 755p USERS:

I have a Sprint Treo 755p and finding a headset that is compatible with it has been a nightmare. I have only had this headset for a week, but so far it seems to be causing fewer problems than my previous 4 headset attempts. The headset picks up calls when it’s supposed to about 85-90% of the time, which is by far the best I’ve experienced. FYI, I do not route calls directly to the headset, I press the button on the headset when I get or make a call. My Treo soft resets itself a whole lot, but it’s hard to say if that has anything to do with the headset or not. It does it more frequently when the headset is on, but still does it when the headset’s turned off.

5 Stars Excelent for iPhone
The best bluetooth headset for iPhone. Low battery consumption, great sound quality. Definately a product to have, if you have an iPhone.

5 Stars Cell phone Screen guards
2 Piece (Outer and Inner LCD) Scratch Resistant Screen Guard Protector Shield Kit for Motorola RAZR V3 BONUS Lint Cleaning Cloth

These work GREAT hubby would have needed a new phone the first month after dropping it if this wasn’t there protecting the screen. Highly recommend. Will buy for next phone too.! Even bought as a gift for a friend.

1 Star junk, do not buy
The stickers that are used to pull the plastic sheets apart do not come off and you can’t see the screen. Would not buy this again.

1 Star Better Than I Thought At First! – Problems? Read This!
I ordered 2 of these just in case, but at first I thought there was a BIG problem! The tab for pulling off the 1st protective layer removes easily, but once you have the cover in place, the tab for holding onto the cover while positioning, won’t come off without leaving a sticky & papery residue that won’t come off…BUT, I finally realized that there is a 3rd clear layer that comes off with the second tab!! You really can’t tell until you pull off the 2nd tab, thinking of throwing the whole thing away, then you realize, that there is a screen cover left in place on your phone! I wish they would tell you these things in the instructions! (But they would probably be in Japanese).

It does also say it comes with a plastic squeegy to smooth out air bubbles, but the two I got didn’t have one in the package, just the cover and a nice screen cleaning cloth. I Recommend, NOW that I know there are 3 clear layers to the covers! And that they DO work!

5 Stars screen protector
i wish i had known about these scratch protectors when i first got my razor but i didn’t. that’s ok because i have them now and it’s great!! they help to keep the screen free of make up as well! i received my order quickly…would definetly recommend

4 Stars SCREEN PROTECTOR
This screen protector has fulfilled all that had wished for when I made the purchase.

Parrot DRIVER HEADSET Plug And Play Bluetooth Headset and Car Kit

The Parrot Driver Headset is a wireless headset that has been specially designed for all drivers keen on the headset concept. The originality of the Parrot headset lies in its combined cradle used to both recharge and hold the headset when not in use. Once the kit has been paired with your Bluetooth phone, the cradle reacts to the slightest incoming call and notifies you by sounding a ringtone. Answer the call by pressing lightly on the headset to unclip it from the cradle, the call is established right away. The Parrot headset has been specifically designed for in-car use and does away with the conventional headband and sidepiece, which tend to get in the way when driving. It fits naturally into the auditory canal. The headset weighs a mere 14 grams and offers 5 hours talk time on a full charge. 1 Star Comfortable to charge, but microphone is too big and poor quaility
I bought this headset to use in the car. It’s very comfortable to charge – the charger is in the socket, the headset is in the charger, no tangling wires – great! But the headset is huge – it doesnt fit into my ears – none of them, and believe me – both of my ears are of generous size! :) It doesn’t fit into my son’s and friend’s ears as well – keeps falling out. And the sound quality – my God! People I’ve been talking to were always complaining about low volume (they had it maxed on their receivers) and strange rustling and swishing noise. I’ve heard them better, but far away from good. If I could, I would like to return it or exchange for something better.

3 Stars Microphone not as loud as it should be.
I love the design, fit, and functionality of this headset, but the people I call complain of low volume. I have to shout to be heard, which is a drag. If the mic was better, 5 stars no doubt. I can hear those on the other end of the line, it pairs fairly easily with my LG VX9900. It sometimes shuts off after an extended non-powered trip in the car, and you’ll need to pull it out of the cradle to turn it on again. If you drive a fair amount each day, this will probably not be an issue.

4 Stars RAZR V3c trouble, but great with newer versions
This headset is great with newer versions of RAZR phones, as well as Samsung phones. However, it creates some type of incompatibility with the old version of RAZR V3m. UPDATED: I bought three units for the family and as of today 10/04/08, only one is working. The other two stopped working completely. It is suggested to keep the warranty papers for a claim. Initially when I wrote this review, I gave the product “4 stars.” However, I am giving now only “Two stars,” but I cannot edit that.

4 Stars Good battery-life and sound quality, but problem with the charging unit
I read a review about sound quality, but fortunately, I have had no such problem. I use this headset with a HTC Dash and the pairing works fine and the sound quality is good.

With my usage – approximately 20 minutes of charging every 24 hours and about 40 to 120 minutes of talking every day – I have not had any battery issues either.

The charging unit though, seems to have a problem. It just starts squealing off & on when I am driving. A little twist or push or tap on it usually stops the squealing.

Overall, I am happy with my purchase.
