2 Stars Bad for Honda Element
I had this unit professionally installed with the standard $50 wiring harness made for Honda vehicles. My car is a 2004 Honda Element with OEM stereo. The first notable thing was my radio no longer had close to the volume it had before the install. Second, when receiving an incoming call, the radio would not mute completely, resulting in me having to turn down the radio. Third, my music would be incredibly bassy, and no amount of adjustment could compensate. The installer tried to trouble-shoot the problem, install a relay to shut down the radio when calls come in, and made calls to Parrot tech support, which gave them no solution to the problem. I had it removed from my car and ended up eating the install fee. I really liked the convenience of the parrot, but for my car, it was not going to work.

3 Stars parrot ck3000 review
It is very practical onced installed and working. The setup is not so friendly since you dont have a menu, bt if you read the instructions well and hear the comands it is easy. For the price I think its a good product.

5 Stars Amazing, but microphone too sensitive
I had Best Buy install the Parrot CK3000 Evolution with the Multicomm in my daughter’s car. She thinks part of driving is talking on the phone. One hand was always holding her phone to her ear while driving. She needed a good hands-free unit to make the road safer for others.

At low speeds, it worked great. It also worked great for me at high speed. The callers could hardly tell I was on a hands-free unit even at high speeds in a small (noisy) car.

But when my daughter used it at high speeds, people would tell her she was very hard to understand. There seemed to be a scratching static of her higher voice when the road noise increased. I theorize that the Parrot noise cancelation was canceling out too much of her voice when road noise increased.

I added a 10 ohm resistor (from Radio Shack) in the microphone wire. This did the trick. The extra resistance lowered the sensitivity in the microphone resulting in less pick-up of road noise but still great pick-up of her voice. Lowering the sensitivity resulted in less need for the noise cancelation to work so hard. It still cancels most road noise, but does not lower the quality of her voice. You almost can’t tell she is on a speaker phone. With the adjustment, this becomes an amazing product.

3 Stars Not everything I expect.
For the most part the Parrot CK3000 works. I bought a special harness to connect it to my steering wheel controls and that works fine. However, for some reason I will have random trouble with the bluetooth giving a spotty connection. I’ll have full bars on the phone but a poor transfer of voice data back and forth, with the sound dropping out. So I believe it’s the bluetooth and not the phone signal.

Also, for a car unit, I would have figured that ambient noise and the voices coming through the stereo would have been taken into effect. The unit goes through the stereo and when I’m on quiet roads, it works well enough but my friends complain about noise. On a loud road, I have to turn the stereo up enough that it does a feedback loop of sorts. While my friends can hear me, when they try to speak it’s terrible for them cause they hear themselves coming back through the microphone.

So if I’m on the highway, I’m not sure how useful this product ends up being.

Also, the website has a firmware upgrade sytem for the product, but you have to buy a separate cable and hook it to your computer to load them. The cable should come with the unit so a person can upgrade the second they buy the unit. Why is this so important? Well, once you have it installed in the car, nobody is going to take their car apart again just to reflash the Parrot CK3000 so an upgrade is only useful before you install.

On quiet roads though, I am able to have a conversation and it’s nice.

I drive a VW GTI 2007.

2 Stars Works, just not very well
This thing works fairly well at speeds of 30 mph or less, but if I drive faster than that the people on the other end really start to complain about not being able to hear me. I’ve moved the microphone in all different places without much luck. It is currently about 15 inches from my mouth attached to the overhead center console (away from the windshield). But it just doesn’t filter out the background noise very well. On the other hand, some people claim theirs works just fine so it could just vary based on your car (mine is a pretty quiet car, though) or it could just be that I got a somewhat faulty unit. My wife’s car has a handsfree unit built-in to her Acura and it works quite a bit better than the Parrot one I have.

5 Stars Great little speaker – get one!
I have been using this for about 8 months now. I drive a manual so having both hands free is necessary, and an ear piece just gets to uncomfortable. The speaker connects easily to my blackberry when entering the car. The speaker is clear and the caller can hear me clearly too, in fact they cannot tell I am even using a device. The battery is incredible and lasts for weeks on a full charge. The range is very long so I usually turn it off when exiting the car or it will stay connected. I have not used the voice command feature as I just make the call from the phone and it connects to the speaker instantly, overall this is a great alternative to an ear piece which can get uncomfortable. A great product, highly recommend it.

4 Stars Very good sound quality
I’m very pleased with this unit. The sound quality reported by people I’ve talked to via the Parrot is excellent (much better than the built-in Bluetooth in my previous car, a BMW). It was also very easy to pair with my phone (T-Mobile Shadow).

The only reason I’m giving it four stars is because I’d like the built-in speaker to sound a little better, but that’s just nit-picking. This was definitely a good purchase.

5 Stars Good bluetooth for the price
I have a more expensive bluetooth headset and I always use the Parrot instead. The reason, no awful feedback. The sound is clear on both ends, even with the noise of traffic. Easy to operate. A real bluetooth for dummies for the car.

1 Star Dont buy it
This is the worst bluetooth i ever had..

lots of noise and the voice sound is on and off all the time.

i do not use this device anymore..

3 Stars Does the job
I have been using the parrot minikit for over a month now. As stated in other reviews the instruction manual is absolutely awful. Since this unit doesn’t have a digital display, it is important that the user understand the menu hierarchy. However, the instructions do not provide anything that resembles a diagram that may guide the user in programming the unit. Eventually, after much stumble, lurch and fall – I was able to to adjust all of the settings. Aside from this- the unit works well with my Sprint Razr. It read my contacts with minimum fuzz. I was not able to enter the keywords for my contacts but it pronounces the names entered in the contacts. The pronunciation is not clear and it takes some getting used to understanding the contacts’ names. At this point, I feel that I got my money’s worth

2 Stars Stereo headset
The stereo headset is great. I can definitely hear much better when I am driving. And I like the idea you can use bluetooth in a mono or stereo setup. The down side of it is that it keeps on falling of my hear because the earpiece set is design in an angle. I had to take the bluetooth to a sunglasses store to have the ear piece hook adjusted. It was fine after that.

4 Stars Great Headset, missing minor details
The headset works every well indoors, in which I would not need to carry my phone around with me, but I’ve found that outdoors, my music tends to skip, people have a difficult time hearing me and parts just get cut off unless I have my phone within 2 ft of the headset. As well, the ear loops just don’t seem to get a snug fit. I also wish there was some way to clip the earpiece to a shirt or something to hold it while not in use. Other than this, its an amazing headset. I love to play music through this and the headset feels very comfortable and sturdy in your ear. I like my headset, and would recommend it to others.

4 Stars Excellent Quality, okay comfort fit
I really liked this piece, the quality of audio recorded lectures [that's what i mostly used it for] is absolutely good. I even tried some songs and they sound great too. The reason I won’t give it 5 stars is that it took me some time to get adjusted to smallest of three ear bud it came with. You can listen to music with or without the extended loop, no problem. The ear loop to hold the headset is little bad piece of design as it won’t go far below behind the ear to ensure from falling. This could improve. Otherwise the headset is the ONLY one out there for a2dp, voice call and song switch automatically and resume!

4 Stars Repeat Plantronics Customer
My Voyager 855 replaced an older model. I’m totally satisfied and will probably remain a Plantronics customer in the future. I really like the extending/slide mic piece. Easy “answer” or “hang up” control, and puts the mic where it should be. Very comfortable in and on the ear. Stereo features are just candy since I use my phone as a phone. [go figure] But my kids tried it and said the stereo ‘buds’ sounded great playing mp3’s on their cell’s. I also REALLY like that the Voyager uses the same charger plug as my LG Dare. No more need to carry two different car chargers for me. Speaking of charge, the Voyager has a feature that lets you check how much charge you still have on the headset. Mine has never gone dead in normal use, but it is a nice feature for people that can’t afford to have a dropped call.

5 Stars Not Like Any Other Bluetooth
Plantronics Voyager 855 Bluetooth Headset (Black)

This is probably the best bloutooth headset I’ve ever used. It is really nice to be able to switch between normal headset and headphones. Works great with all the phones and it really cool for use with skype. Music quality, of course, is not the best, compared to wired headphones, but IS great for this kind of device. Thank a lot for the service. Love it!

5 Stars Fabulous!!
Beautiful cover and fits perfectly. Although it took us forever to put the screen protector on just because we’re perfectionists…. Ladies, you can use it as a little mirror to fix your make up after a little rumble in the break room at work. So works out for everyone. And seller is great with fast shipping and fast customer service.

4 Stars great item
thank u item is great fast fast shipping not fake like the ones on ebay

2 Stars pretty….but kills your service!!!!
This is exactly what I would want an IPhone case to look like….sexy, shinny, very modern. But after that, it’s a waste of money. For some reason the case hurts the signal finder which renders your phone pretty worthless. Also, the mirrored faceplate is already falling off 1 hour after I’ve put it on which is never a good sign. I would pass on this product and try to find a better version.

5 Stars I couldn’t have done better
I bought this for my wife, it’s like a mirror when the iphone is off. the back of the case is solid too. she loves it.

3 Stars Great if you can deal with No Service
I’d read the reviews for the other colors of this product and decided to hedge my bets. This makes for a very striking looking iPhone, certainly. The case snapped into place perfectly and I had no problem with this product scratching my phone, as I read with others. I don’t think it would shatter if I dropped my phone. The mirror protector is super cool; no ifs ands or buts. However, I was used to having an anti-glare screen protector on my phone and the mirror protecter produced CRAZY smudges that I couldn’t handle. It also didn’t line up quite right with the home button/listening area openings. I decided to put one of my anti-glare protectors on top of the mirror protector and I didn’t have any kind of reduced functionality with the touch screen.

You most definitely cannot used the mirrored protector in directly sunlight. I could barely see my screen, and what’s the point of the product if I can’t see the screen? Also, and this is the worst, the case interferes with the wireless signal! I had “No Service” pop up on my phone so many times in so many places that I had no problems with before. That was a deal breaker for me. I ended up taking off the mirror protector as well. I got about a month of use out of this. I was definitely disappointed with this product.
