Just plug the TP-7 jack into the “MIC” jack of your recorder, and put the earphone side into your ear. When speaking on the telephone, the TP-7 will capture both sides of the conversation for recording by your voice recorder.Includes adapter to convert from monaural 3.5mm mini-plug to stereo 3.5mm mini-plug. 5 Stars Ear-bud Phone recorder is a great innovation
We are using an Olympus WAS-331M Digital Voice Recorder for interviews for an academic research project, and found that some interviews needed to be done by phone. At first I was surprised that Olympus’ telephone recording device was an ear-bud instead of attaching to the phone cord. Then I realized what an improvement it was – you can use it on a cordless phone, a cell phone, or a call over a computer through the internet! The sound quality is great – or as good as your phone connection, anyway.

Two notes: (1) It comes with two adapter jacks, but the instructions are minimal to figure out which to use. (2) Make sure to plug the jack into the recorder’s “mic” plug, not the “ear” plug. It will still record if plugged into the wrong jack, but the sound quality will be terrible.

4 Stars Wonderful device
I am very pleased with my purchase and would not hesitate to recommend Item being reviewed the Olympus TP-7 Telephone Recording.

3 Stars Good not great
This microphone seems well made, despite being inexpensive, and the sound quality is good. But there are disadvantages. First, you have to wear it in your ear as you talk. That’s awkward for me. I can feel it between the phone and my ear and it gets in the way, sonically — you don’t hear as well with it in. Worse, it records my voice much more loudly than the person at the other end of the line.

So, yes, it works, and yes, I can get used to it, but it’s not an ideal solution.

5 Stars Effective
This inexpensive microhone goes in your ear and allows you to record phone conversations over any kind of phone (including cellphones, home phones or payphones) without any adapter. It feels like any earbud for an MP-3 player and does not degrade the sound quality of the conversation. I pair it with my Olympus VN-3100PC and the recording clarity and quality are excellent.

5 Stars Great product
Great price,Clear recordings. ear piece stays in place. I am pleased and have purchased three of these. Amazon has the best price of anyone.
