3 Stars Good product, bad manufacturers information
Amazon had the best price for this product and it was delivered quickly. What the Motorola product information dosent explain is that for many, many cars, like my 2004 XJ8, is that for the device to operate as described through the factory sound system, additional wiring harness’ are required. In the case of my Jag i n need three more harness’ and the additional cost is $196 for the wiring. This is not Amazon’s fault. I got lucky and found a good vendor for the needed stuff. I recommend that you contact your installer prior to purchase and ask if he has installed the device in you particular make and model, in the configuration you intend

5 Stars Keep it simple
I’ve had the Motorola IHF1000 now for almost a month and so far it’s great. It’s very easy to use, just a few simple buttons and the use of the voice commands and you’re set. This product is also small so it fits great just about anywhere in your car.

Pros:

* Easy to use.

* Easy to hear others through the speakers in your car.

* Voice commands really works well.

* So far it appears that no one can tell that I’m using this device and those I have told say that they hear me well.

* For the most part this device really understands your voice commands. And the more you use it the better it goes.

* There is an option to turn off notifications like when it synchs with your phone, I’m just waiting until I get used to how long it takes to synch before I turn the notifications off. So far synch time varies from a few seconds to up to 20 seconds. But most of the time it’s very fast.

* I really like the blue glow at night.

Cons:

* Sometimes when you do a number dial the system acts dyslexic. But once you learn that as you say the numbers you can simply say “no” to reject the last section of numbers.

* There are only 20 memory slots for numbers. When I first got this system I figured that was plenty but it turns out that Motorola really needs to add more slots. Sure there may be some numbers of people that you only call once in a while but it’s nice to put them in there, especially because when they call you it will say their name and not the phone number they are dialing from.

And these are cons for any hands free kit you may want to consider:

* The volume is not controlled through the car radio, so you will have to use the buttons on the right to adjust the volume.

* If you have a factory installed navigation like mine then it will talk over your conversation if you are using both at the same time.

* If you are near your car and not in your car but your car is running then the Kit may be on and then if someone calls it will go through your car.

4 Stars Much better than earpeices
This unit works great. Is much better than having to worry about the batteries in an earpeice. I did not use the speaker that it comes with. I purchased a wiring harness that allowed me to plug in directly into my stereo. The unit mutes the stereo and plays the audio over the truck speakers. I will be buying one for my girlfriend it works so well.

4 Stars Great Bluetooth Device
Awsome device! I had purchased this online and had it installed at Best Buy. They did a great job installing it. The device is fantastic! THe voice on the system is clear and easily heard. THe speaker is nice and loud even with the windows open. The only thing that I had issues with is if your car radio does not have the mute wire built in you must use the speaker. Also, you must be sure to say the numbers clearly or the system will get confused an say the wrong numbers. Otherwise, this device is wonderful and well worth the money. Great job Moto!!

5 Stars I LOVE THIS THING!!!!
We had it installed by Best Buy. It was about $100 to install in my Saab convertible and they did an excellent job. This thing is great! Even with the convertible top down you can still hear the calls quite clearly and those to whom I am speaking can hardly tell, there is very little wind noise. Very easy to program and use. I give this product my highest recommendation!

5 Stars Great Product!!
Great Product. works as described. This is my second one for the new SUV that my Wife just got. She loves it. She always hated the ear buds and the over the ear hanging kind. Clear voice quality and the volume buttons are a bonus.Highly Recommend this for all.

3 Stars It’s ok.
This device is ok but it seems a little inconsistent to me. Some callers seem to have a hard time hearing me even when my phone volume and the device volume is maxed out. Don’t know what to make of it…

5 Stars Driving. listening, and talking!
I ordered 2 Bluetooth units for the car. I can finally hear my wife and she can hear me. The sound is great and you can adjust the volume. It sure beats the little unit in your ear.

4 Stars Works great!
Great product and great shipper. Got my item very fast and I love it! The Motorola Car kit works great. Easy to setup and use. Great sound quality too. I would recommend both the product and the seller.

5 Stars Great little bluetooth speakerphone
I think I paid $20 or something like that for this unit. It’s well worth the money. Easily paired to my HTC Touch Pro. It’s easy to use, and the sound is quite good for such an inexpensive unit. Some reviewers are bothered by the flashing blue light. Not me. I clip it to the grab handle above the door instead of on the sun visor. That way I never see the light.

4 Stars works great…
I bought this while samsung was offering a rebate, so I couldn’t pass it. Got it and it works great… Has good battery life, reception and fits well. The noise canceling is not the greatest but not horrible either…

1 Star Pain in the ears
I used it for 2 days. When I was wearing that it was giving me lots of pain in the ear. First of all because of it was not adjusting in my ear. Second reason was sound was too loud. I was getting headache if I use that for more than 5 mins. Sound quality was too bad. Can never recommend any time.

5 Stars A steal for $15 – great sound, easy to use, wowsa!
PROS: small, easy to charge, stays on ear well thus far, great sound

CONS: None yet… Doesn’t work with two devices at once well, but that wasn’t a promised feature.

I bought the WEP 700 and two WEP 200’s for $15 and $5 each respectively, and am blown away. After using $50-100 bluetooth headsets and considering a BlueAnt (for $80), I instead have three headsets for my family for the sum of $25 and they work wonderfully.

The WEP 700 is the preferred one vs. the WEP 200 – easier to charge, better ear attachment than the WEP 200 (that doesn’t break). Don’t even bother with the 300 and 500 series in my humble opinion.

If I had to do it again, I’d buy three WEP 700’s for $45 and laugh all the way to the bank.

4 Stars Great BT Headset
with noise cancellation feature, this wep700 is far better than wep301… however, I like the design of the wep301 better.

3 Stars Awkard, but functional
The Samsung WEP700 Bluetooth Headset is everything that the manufacturer claims in it’s advertising, however, the “buttonology” can be a bit awkward to get used to. Pushing the Call button will automatically dial the last person called, while holding the same button down for 2-3 seconds then releasing it will allow you to use voice commands, and the same button held down for just a little longer will shut the unit off. This may cause issues if you keep calling the same number or can’t figure out why the voice command feature isn’t coming up because you weren’t paying attention to the length of time you pressed the call button. If patience (or timing) is not one of your virtues I would look for something that automatically triggers the voice command feature rather than last number called and has a separate on/off switch.

4 Stars Good audio, clumsy case
Good sound and noise cancellation and LOVE that the case also tops off the charge in the earpiece when it’s in the case. However, the case is too big for a pocket (unless mega baggy) and it would be great if there was something that would allow me to securely clip it to something like a belt or a bag strap or ????

5 Stars I think I’ve finally found a replacement for the Plantronics 510!
For as long as I’ve owned bluetooth enabled phones, I’ve owned and loved the Plantronics 510. I’ve tried a TON of different headsets, and all have paled in comparison to the 510. When I saw the 925 on sale (I’m talking 1/2 price here), I couldn’t pass it up.

PROS:

First off – it’s very high quality. Well built, no loose parts, no falling off earpieces. It has a CASE, and this case CHARGES the earpiece when not in use! The case holds one entire charge for the earpiece, so when you’re in the car and your headset dies (happens to me ALL the time), you can charge it up and use it in no time!

The sound quality is superb. I thought I’d never find anything as good as the 510, but this headset BEATS it! I literally did a side by side test with both of them. The other person thought that the 925 sounded MUCH clearer and more defined than the 510. Also, the wind is not nearly a factor as it is with the 510. You actually have a few weak gusts of wind while using it and still be able to be heard.

It has GREAT battery life – this can be in standby mode for several days without needing a charge. I can talk and talk and talk and feel like I hardly ever need to charge it.

Lastly – it’s LIGHT. MUCH lighter than the 510 – so light, in fact, that sometimes I forget that it’s in my ear!

CONS:

OK, so there are many pros with this earpiece. There are also a couple of cons. First – it’s really, really difficult to fit the earpiece into the charger case. You have to adjust it so that it’s perfect before trying to push it in. I fear that over time, the charger contact on the earpiece may wear out.

Second – the earpiece insert gels don’t really work all that great. Even though they include 3 different sizes, I couldn’t find any that fit my ear perfectly. Therefore, the earpiece doesn’t sit perfectly in my ear and forces me to turn up the volume (on my phone and earpiece) to the MAX. Still, sometimes, I have a hard time hearing the other person because it doesn’t sit as close in my ear canal as others (the 510).

Another con – comfort. It’s comfortable, but not as comfortable as the 510. After about an hour, my ear starts to hurt from the insert. No matter which size insert I pick, I have the same problem.

The last con – price. It’s come down in price (at the time of this review, it’s 72 dollars), but it’s still too expensive. For that price you could buy two 510s and still have money to spare.

That’s about all the cons I can possibly think of.

I’m a huge techie guy and love to try out all new technology. I’ve been fiercely dedicated to the Plantronics 510 over the years because I have yet to find anything that was better. In my opinion, the Plantronics 925 is better in almost every way than the 510.

5 Stars Excellent for the average user
Pros) Great fit – holds firmly in my ear without the need for an earhook. The cleverly designed gel earbud is quite comfortable. Battery life – I have using this bt for nearly a month and have only needed to recharge the actual headset once, and that was using the battery case. In other words, I have not needed to plug in the device for the entire month, which is great since I keep it in my car. Sound quality – speaker quality is good. When driving, the other side thinks I’m on a landline.

Cons) Max volume – could be higher. Hasn’t been an issue for me, but in an extremely noisy environment it could be an issue for some. Noise canceling – even with the stereo turned down in my car, people report being able to hear it.

Conclusion) Great bluetooth headset for regular use. Good build quality, excellent features, and you can’t beat the charging case. However, this is not an extreme noise-canceling unit like the Jawbone or Q7, so if you plan on using this while operating a jackhammer, you may want to consider something more “extreme.”

5 Stars Love the 925 Bluetooth
This bluetooth is very reliable and has great sound. I have only had one issue when it lost connection, but was able to sync up in no time. The quality of the plantronic 925 is very high and the comfort is good. I had to break in the larger ear piece because the medium kept falling out of my ear. If you want a good bluetooth for your iphone or any other phone this is the one.

3 Stars Less than expected
I had reason to purchase a new head set for my mobile phone and I liked the look of the new Discovery 925 Earpiece.

I was less than impressed!

The “ear buds” were uncomfortable and felt un-stable in my ear. I tried all three sizes and it appeared to be the “loop” design that wasn’t working. It was hard to align the mic with my mouth and it fell out often.

The “recharge” box is too big and bulky to keep in my pocket and I don’t like to “store the earpiece in my ear”. I want to keep it in my pocket and it seems vulnerable to pens and pencils in my shirt pocket. A coat pocket might work, but I seldom wear a jacket or coat.

The action of the button was clumsy! I can’t think of a better word. I felt like I had to push the earpiece into my ear to make a “switch” from off to on. Press too long or too hard and it skips through different stages of action. I missed several calls because I went from “hello” to “goodbye” quickly because of the action of the button.

All in all I was disappointed when my dog chewed up the Discovery 925, but it gave me a great excuse to re-order a Voyager 655 (which my dog had chewed up about 6 weeks earlier).

Good luck with your experience with your earpiece (and your dog).
